Rubio on meeting with Lavrov spoke about the need to end the war in Ukraine
According to the official, new ideas are needed to achieve peace.

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that during a meeting with his Russian counterpart Lavrov in the Philippines, he discussed the need to end the war against Ukraine, writes RBC-Ukraine.
According to the official, "new ideas" are needed to achieve peace, as previous proposals were "unacceptable to Ukraine."
"I don't think they would be acceptable to her now either; moreover, they would probably be even less acceptable," Rubio said.
In his opinion, if peace does come, it will be thanks to some new ideas and new concepts.
"We are ready to offer some of them in an appropriate context and form, if such an opportunity arises and favorable conditions exist. We are ready to play this role in a positive way," the Secretary of State added.
