Belarusian Foreign Minister Maksim Ryzhenkov is on an official visit to Mozambique from July 16 to 18, Belta reports .

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the program of this visit includes high-level talks, meetings with representatives of relevant ministries, as well as events with the participation of business circles of the two countries.
Earlier, Alexander Lukashenka spoke about the prospects for developing cooperation between Belarus and Mozambique. On February 19, during a meeting with the Chairperson of the Senate of Zimbabwe, Mabel Memona Chinamona, he proposed implementing a tripartite project involving Belarus, Zimbabwe, and Mozambique for the construction of a seaport.
According to Lukashenka, Belarus needs to establish a foothold on the southeastern coast of Africa. He noted that the construction of a port in Mozambique and the restoration of railway links between that country and Zimbabwe would create a logistics hub for the supply of Belarusian goods, as well as products from other states, including Russia, to the south of the African continent.
