Property belonging to former political prisoner and priest Henrykh Akalatovich continues to be sold at auctions in Belarus. On July 2, a sale of his land plot in the village of Novaya Mysh, Baranavichy district, was supposed to take place. However, the auction did not happen for the fourth time in a row — no one was interested in purchasing the plot again. At the same time, three ancient icons belonging to the priest were sold, writes "Brestskaya Viasna".

Each of the icons was put up for a separate auction, and in each case, only one buyer participated and agreed to the purchase.
According to calculations, 4620 rubles will go to the budget for the three icons. The oldest of the sold icons dates back to the 18th century.

Father Henrykh Akalatovich was detained at the end of 2023. He was found guilty of "treason against the state" and sentenced to 11 years in prison. In November 2025, the priest was released after a pardon, after which he was expelled from Belarus. Since then, his property continues to be sold through auctions.
