A special forces unit of the National Guard of Ukraine conducted an operation in occupied Crimea, resulting in the destruction of a Russian Su-24M front-line bomber at the "Saki" military airfield. This was reported by the Commander of the National Guard of Ukraine, Oleksandr Pivnenko.

According to Oleksandr Pivnenko, the operation was carried out by combat divers of the "Omega" Special Purpose Center. Before the strike, reconnaissance and prolonged observation of the target were conducted. The attack was organized at the moment when the aircraft was being prepared for another combat sortie to launch strikes on the territory of Ukraine.
According to Pivnenko's information, two drones were used to destroy the aircraft. The first hit the nose section of the Su-24M, and the second struck the area of the fuel tanks. As a result, the aircraft was completely destroyed.
The Commander of the National Guard noted that this operation demonstrates the capability of Ukrainian special forces to deliver high-precision strikes on important enemy military targets deep behind enemy lines. He also emphasized that the National Guard continues to develop the capabilities of using offensive unmanned systems at significant operational depths.
The Su-24M is a front-line bomber that Russian forces actively use to launch missile and bomb strikes on the territory of Ukraine.
