Ukrainian serviceman: The 2022 scenario, when columns came from Belarus, is now unrealistic
"Equipment in such a format is no longer used on the front; columns will simply be destroyed on the approaches."

Konstantin Nemichev, deputy commander of Ukraine's Kraken unmanned systems regiment, says there are several threats from Belarus, but the 2022 scenario is now unrealistic.
"The first [option] is a threat to Ukraine's border region. The second is the Baltic countries bordering Belarus. Russia views the Suwalki Corridor as an opportunity to seize and cut off the Baltics from Europe by land.
The third option is manipulation. They conduct exercises, dig positions to force us to divert troops from the front line of Ukraine and stretch our forces, — Nemichev enumerates in an interview with RBC-Ukraine. —
Which option will work is unknown, but our task is to prepare. Our defensive line on the border with Belarus is ready. If the Russian Federation, together with Belarus, tries to move in our direction, our unmanned systems and infantry brigades will do everything to ensure this column is destroyed along with equipment and personnel. Then we will have our hands untied to strike decision-making centers in Belarus."

The 2022 scenario, when columns moved through Kyiv or Chernihiv regions, is now unrealistic, says the Ukrainian serviceman.
"Equipment in such a format is no longer used on the front; columns will simply be destroyed on the approaches.
There is currently no global threat to major cities from Belarus due to the number of forces stationed there. They can accumulate resources, and attempts to enter border territories, small towns, and villages are possible (as is done in the Kharkiv and Sumy regions to create a so-called buffer zone).
We need to react adequately to this threat, which is what we are doing."
