Several More Suburban Trains to Be Launched Between Belarus and Russia
Cross-border suburban trains could potentially connect Bryansk with Homel, and Velikiye Luki with Vitsebsk and Polatsk in the future. Russian President Vladimir Putin announced this in his video address to the participants of the Forum of Regions.

According to the Russian leader, regular flights to Belarus are currently operated from ten Russian regions. In addition, cross-border suburban trains were launched in April on the routes Smolensk — Vitsebsk and Smolensk — Orsha.
The next routes planned for railway connections are Velikiye Luki — Vitsebsk, Velikiye Luki — Polatsk, and Bryansk — Homel.
Also planned is the construction of a high-speed railway line Moscow — Minsk.
