In Berlin, the red-green flag and portraits of Lukashenka will be banned on May 8 and 9

Berlin plans to introduce restrictions on the use of a number of symbols during commemorative events on May 8 and 9, dedicated to the end of World War II in Europe. According to local police, the ban will apply to the display of Soviet symbols, as well as the state flags of Russia and Belarus, writes "European Pravda".

Restrictions are planned to be introduced in the areas of the main Soviet memorials – in Tiergarten, Treptow Park, and Schönholzer Heide. Official orders are expected to be published in advance and will be similar to those already in force in previous years.

In addition to flags, other elements related to Russia's war against Ukraine will also be banned. Specifically, it will be forbidden to wear Russian military uniforms or parts thereof, display insignia, Z and V symbols, and St. George ribbons.

It will also be forbidden to display images of the leaders of Russia, Belarus, and Chechnya.

It is specifically noted that it will be forbidden to perform or play Russian military and marching songs, as well as to display symbolism that could be perceived as supporting the war. At the same time, Ukrainian symbolism is not subject to these restrictions.

Certain exceptions are provided for diplomats and World War II veterans.

Such measures are linked to the fact that since 2022, the celebration of May 9 in Russia has been actively used as part of state propaganda and justification of the war against Ukraine. Therefore, German authorities aim to prevent the use of this symbolism for political purposes during commemorative events.

надо просто перестать выдавать визы русским и никто в Германию не сможет въехать. Пусть у себя на болотах носят свои флаги и ленты.
