On the evening of April 19, in Pruzhany, the traffic police (GAI) wanted to stop a Renault driver, but he ignored the signal and continued driving. The GAI car went after him in pursuit, the Ministry of Internal Affairs reports.

At some point during the chase, the police began firing their service weapons.

Behind the wheel of the Renault was a 41-year-old resident of Pruzhany — drunk and without a license (he had never obtained a driver's license).

The car was placed in an impound lot, and the driver was put in a temporary detention center.
