Belarusians of Warsaw recorded an Orthodox liturgy in their native language

For three years now, a Belarusian-speaking Orthodox community has existed in Warsaw – a congregation at the Chapel of Saint Gregory Peradze. Services in the parish are held partly in Belarusian. Now, the community's choir has recorded the entire Paschal Matins and parts of the festive liturgy.

You can listen to the chants and access the sheet music here.

The community is raising funds for further recordings. They want to publish sheet music collections for Belarusian-language liturgies of Saint John Chrysostom and Saint Basil the Great, and also to make an audio recording of the Divine Liturgy in Belarusian.

All materials are made publicly available by the community at the Chapel of Saint Gregory Peradze.

The chapel is located at Lelechowska Street, 5, which is in Ochota (Lelechowska, 5).

In 1942, he was arrested and died in the Auschwitz concentration camp. In 1995, the Georgian Orthodox Church canonized him.
