Palchys: Freedom Will Be a Time of Harsh Testing for Everything Valuable You Achieved in Captivity
Famous blogger and former political prisoner Eduard Palchys, who spent the last 5.5 years behind bars, congratulated Belarusians on Easter. In his post, he called the return to faith the main achievement of his prison ordeal.

My main achievement after all the prison adventures over the last 10 years is faith. More precisely, a return to it.
Prison is the best place to comprehend many manifestations of life. And oneself too.
There are conditionally three types of people in captivity: those who do not change; those who become much worse; and those who spiritually and morally advance in their understanding of life.
As someone with a little experience, I often told cellmates — "Freedom will be a time of harsh testing for everything valuable that you have achieved in captivity." Unfortunately, this is truly so. All the best in me comes from faith, and all the worst — from myself.
These 5 and a half years, I prayed first and foremost for all prisoners. And for all of you. And from the 22nd — for Ukraine. I pray now too. For Christ is Risen — and this is the main day of victory for humanity.
In English, there is a beautiful verb — "rise up". And many people right now could also do with a "rise up".
Happy Easter to you all.
