Former striker of Minsk "Dinamo" and football coach Ruslan Lukin has died. This was reported by the press service of the "Viliya" football club from Vileyka. He was only 54 years old.

Ruslan Lukin was born and raised in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, showing great promise from childhood. He played for the USSR youth, junior, and youth national teams, and became a European champion with the U18 youth team in 1990. In 1992-1993, he played three matches for the national team of independent Azerbaijan, scoring two goals.
In the early 1990s, Lukin played for Minsk "Dinamo". In addition, he played for "Maladzechna", Azerbaijani "Neftchi", Salihorsk "Shakhter", Israeli "Hapoel" from Be'er Sheva, and other clubs.
After ending his football career, Lukin worked as a coach. He led "Maladzechna", Nyasvizh "Veras", "Asipovichy" and a number of other Belarusian football clubs.
At the "Viliya" football club, Lukin worked as a senior coach in 2024-2025. The club noted that he imparted not only his experience but also his soul to the team, and expressed condolences to his family and friends.
