Russian woman who made 'kulich hookah' in a bar will not be sent to a penal colony after all
Imprisonment will be replaced by mandatory labor.

27-year-old Ksenia Belousova worked in a bar in Moscow and, on the occasion of Easter, made a "kulich hookah." "Even Christ would rise from this," was the caption to the video on social media.

The girl was found guilty of "insulting the feelings of believers" and sentenced to 3 years and 25 days in a general regime penal colony. The sentence was handed down taking into account a previous conviction — Ksenia had previously received three years probation in a case involving the possession of more than 5 grams of mephedrone.
Ksenia wrote a letter of repentance to the Russian Orthodox Church. The Church asked the court to mitigate the punishment.
Now the girl's sentence has been reviewed. The Presidium of the Moscow City Court changed the punishment to 200 hours of mandatory labor. The decision to revoke the suspended sentence from the previous case was also excluded.
