An elderly woman, who works as a math teacher, surprised social media users with her unusual student — a Spitz dog, noted Blizko.by.

The woman's grandchildren, bloggers Vara and Yegor "Barabulkiny", published two videos in which the pet supposedly solves simple math problems: for example, answers "two multiplied by two" or "square root of nine" by giving the required number of barks. The dog received a treat for correct answers.

The video generated many humorous comments. Users wrote that such a student could teach in school, pass exams with excellent marks, or help with a test.
However, the secret to the "fluffy mathematician's" extraordinary abilities is quite simple. Similar tricks are based on training: the animal doesn't actually think about the questions but reacts to subtle signals from the owner, such as a head movement or a hand gesture, which it understands as a cue to stop barking.
