Previously, Maxim Lysenko served as the First Deputy Minister, and before that, he headed the successful Dzyarzhynsk district for four years.

Maxim Lysenko was born in 1984. He holds three higher education degrees. In 2007, he graduated from BSTU with a degree in "Forestry". In 2010, he received a diploma from the Minsk Institute of Management ("Economics and Enterprise Management"). In 2025, he graduated from the Academy of Public Administration with a degree in "Public Administration and Law".
He worked as a leading specialist and later headed the Dzyarzhynsk District Inspectorate of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection.
From 2017 to 2019, he served as Deputy Chairman of the Minsk Regional Committee for Natural Resources, after which he himself headed this committee.
In March 2021, he temporarily changed his environmental profile and was promoted to executive power, heading the Dzyarzhynsk District Executive Committee. He worked as chairman of the district until June 2025.
On July 1, 2025, Lysenko was returned to the department and appointed to the post of First Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection, where he worked until his current appointment.
Former Minister of Nature Sergei Maslyak was arrested on charges of bribery.
