This is a special service that has existed for several years and is updated annually so that people can choose equipped and verified swimming locations. The map is available in Yandex service and helps quickly find permitted recreation areas.
In total, there are about 500 such official beaches across the country, and 23 in Minsk. This status means that the water and bottom are checked and cleaned, the area is equipped with buoys, changing cabins, shaded canopies, and lifeguards are always on duty there.
The swimming season in Belarus officially began on May 1st, but active water recreation usually starts with the warming weather in the middle of the month. The updated map should help people choose safe places for summer recreation.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations also reminds about safety rules: do not swim while intoxicated, swim beyond buoys, jump into water in unfamiliar places, or cling to boats. Special attention is requested for children, and they should not be left unattended near the water.
In Kostyukovichi, a deputy chairman of the district executive committee is being sought through the employment service — the last candidate failed the checks
