The Investigative Committee announced that it has opened "special proceedings" against five more Belarusians who are outside the country.

37-year-old Mikola Boika, 31-year-old Yury Makitau, 28-year-old Kristina Stankevich, and 41-year-old Mikhail Chuprinski are to be tried in absentia. "Special proceedings" have also been opened against former political prisoner Natallia Nikitsina.
Among the articles under which they are accused are participation in a "terrorist organization" (Article 290-5 of the Criminal Code) and aiding "extremist activity" (Article 361-4 of the Criminal Code).
