Trump stated that only an «ideal deal» with Iran would satisfy him. He could conclude a merely good one right now
US President Donald Trump stated during a meeting of the American cabinet that Washington could conclude a quite favorable deal with Iran right now, but he personally would only agree to an ideal deal.

«Right now, we could conclude a good, but not great deal. And since it's not a great deal, we don't need it,» — Donald Trump told reporters.
He expressed confidence that the US would manage to negotiate an ideal deal without loopholes for Iran, noting that negotiations are proceeding «quite well».
«The deal must be ideal,» — he concluded.
Trump answered negatively to the question of whether he would be satisfied with the transfer by Tehran of its highly enriched uranium reserves to China or Russia.
He also stated that the US would not allow any country to control the Strait of Hormuz.
«The Strait will be open to everyone. These are international waters; no one will control them,» — he said, answering the question of whether he would support the establishment of temporary control over the Strait of Hormuz by Iran and Oman.
At the same time, the US President again noted that he would like Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and other Arab countries to join the «Abraham Accords».
«I'm not sure we should even make a deal with Iran if they don't do that,» — Trump emphasized.
At the same time, he asked his special envoy Steve Witkoff, who was present at the meeting, whether these countries would agree to join the «Abraham Accords». Witkoff replied that «we are actively pushing for this».
The «Abraham Accords» were concluded with the participation of the US during Trump's first term in 2020 between Israel and three Arab countries — Bahrain, UAE, and Morocco. The agreements provide for the establishment of diplomatic relations with Israel and the opening of embassies therein, as well as cooperation in economy and other spheres.
