According to eyewitnesses, in the 4th entrance of a panel building on Bagration Street, the floor and part of the wall in front of the stairwell collapsed. Emergency services and utility workers are currently working at the scene, writes "Onliner".
The entrance is temporarily blocked from the courtyard side – the passage has been fenced off with fiberboard panels. Residents are only allowed inside through the second exit, as the entrance is a through-passage. Housing and communal services employees, as well as workers with a chainsaw, were spotted at the scene.
Despite this, the situation inside the building remains calm – people are not being evacuated yet. Lights are on in the windows, residents are home, and there is no panic. Many passersby are not even aware of the incident.
There are no official comments on the causes of the collapse yet.
