About 2,000 children from Dinamo sports schools will train in 12 sports at the Dinamo sports complex on Dauman Street after its reconstruction, Minsk-News writes.

The reconstruction of the sports complex began in May 2024. Until recently, representatives of law enforcement agencies, students of the Belarusian Physical Culture and Sports Society "Dinamo" sports schools, and Paralympians trained here. In total, about one and a half thousand athletes trained, not counting active lifestyle enthusiasts.

First of all, communications were completely replaced. A new layout was implemented.

Only the frame remained of the old building: the building retained its previous dimensions, but the interior became modern.

The number of sports grounds has increased, and it became possible to engage in new sports. And the building's facade is adorned with the brand letter "D" in a rhombus.

Outdoors, in addition to the football field and tennis courts, a workout area has appeared. There is also another universal one, which can be used for mini-football, volleyball, and basketball. The possibility of constructing a separate shooting range building next to the sports complex is being considered: it is necessary for training professional athletes, students of SDYUSHOR (Specialized Children and Youth Sports School of Olympic Reserve), and representatives of law enforcement agencies. The prospect of arranging courts for a new and popular sport — padel tennis — is also being studied.

The halls themselves have also changed. In the athletics arena, training can now be conducted in eight sports. The "core" has parquet flooring and markings for game sports: mini-football, handball, volleyball, basketball.

There are two pitches here, measuring 20 × 40 m, separated by a special net. The facility is designed for almost all athletics disciplines, with the exception of throwing events. The length of the running tracks (there are four) is a standard 400 m, there is a long jump pit and a high jump sector. Fencing strips are equipped: two of them are on the first floor, and several more are on the second.

Young foil fencers are already training.

Another innovation is a climbing wall. First and foremost, children will train on it. Students from one of Minsk's sports schools are expected to use the new equipment, and a bit later (there are such plans) a climbing section will be opened at SDYUSHOR "Dinamo" with group enrollment, as it is an Olympic sport.

As for martial arts, it is now possible to work separately with wrestlers and strikers — previously there was only one room. Mats are laid on the second floor: techniques and defenses against them are practiced there. A boxing gym has opened on the first floor: a stationary ring and all necessary equipment have been installed. Here, skills will also be honed in applied sports, such as hand-to-hand combat.

The rhythmic gymnastics hall was one of the first to open: the training of young graceful athletes resumed in March. Before this, the girls trained at "Chizhovka-Arena". New platforms and mats have been arranged for them.

The universal hall is planned to be used for both training and official matches in mini-football, handball, basketball, and volleyball. Many people wish to train here — it is said that the schedule is already booked even for late evening.

A barrier-free environment has been created at "Dinamo". Paralympians trained here before, and to ensure their access to the second floor, two elevators have been installed. Additionally, information plaques with Braille script have appeared in all halls.

The famous night book fair will not return to the "Dinamo" sports complex.

Animal exhibitions will also not be held here. The facility will be fully utilized for sports activities.
