GUR revealed details of a unique special operation: an agent was infiltrated into "Akhmat"
Thanks to the planted bugs, the Ukrainians listened to all conversations in the Kadyrovites' headquarters for a long time. Therefore, they not only knew all the plans of operations in the Sumy direction but also gained valuable insight into the "inner workings."
The GUR reported the successful completion of an operation in the Russian "Akhmat" unit, which was carried out in the Sumy direction from February to April 2026.
A key role in the operation was played by an agent — the Ukrainians claim that this is a former "Akhmat" serviceman who switched to the Ukrainian side.
The Ukrainians, with the help of an FPV drone, delivered a listening device behind the front line, which the agent managed to install directly in the meeting room of the Kadyrovite unit.
This allowed GUR operatives to record conversations of the entire "Akhmat" command staff and obtain all information about their plans and movements.
Thanks to high awareness, the Ukrainians delivered targeted strikes against the Chechens.
In two months, "Akhmat" suffered its largest losses since the start of the full-scale invasion: the GUR reports 41 killed and 87 wounded, with over a hundred more fighters considered missing in action.
In addition to personnel, a significant amount of equipment was destroyed and damaged — over 160 units of armored and automotive transport, more than 25 drones, as well as electronic warfare equipment, engineering equipment, and fuel and weapons depots.
The GUR claims to have organized the agent's evacuation to Ukrainian-controlled territory, which made it possible to publish information about the special operation.
Against the backdrop of these events, the commander of Ichkerian volunteers, Abdul Hakim, addressed his compatriots, urging them not to join the Russian army. In his speech, he noted: "What did the Ukrainians do to you? Which of you did they kill? Take care of yourselves and come over to our side. Save your souls. You will be saved both in this world and in the afterlife."
The agent himself called on his former comrades not to forget their history and not to sell themselves to Russia. "Come over to our side from there. Just as I did. A request to everyone, come over to our side. Ukraine accepted me and accepted me very well," declares the defector.
