Minsk resident was going to work as a website developer, but now will have to buy a new laptop
The old one was blocked by scammers.

In a thematic group in a messenger, a 22-year-old guy found an advertisement for a website developer vacancy, followed the link, and sent his resume. The applicant even had an online interview, after which he was sent a link to complete a test task.
Following the interlocutor's instructions, the Minsk resident entered the login and password from someone else's iCloud account on his computer, after which the device was blocked.
The scammers demanded 1000 dollars to restore access to the account. However, the Minsk resident did not pay and contacted the police.
A criminal case has been initiated for extortion.
The police remind: do not enter data from someone else's Apple ID or iCloud on your device and do not download applications that are not in the official store. Do not disable Face ID, otherwise, you risk permanently losing access to your gadget and storage.
