Scientists in the "Braslav Lakes" National Park have for the first time found a rare and little-studied fungus — terrestrial Byssonectria, also known as the "ammonia" mushroom.

This species grows in nitrogen-rich areas. Typically, this is soil or other substrates saturated with the waste products of wild animals. It is precisely because of this characteristic that the fungus got its unofficial name.
As a rule, terrestrial Byssonectria appears in forests during the spring period — from April to mid-June.
Previously, this species of mushroom was not included in the list of those recorded in the "Braslav Lakes" National Park, so its discovery is considered new for this territory.
A monument to pilots Nichyparchyk and Kukanenka was erected near St. Sophia in Polotsk. But not even a plane of the model on which they died, but a Stalin-era airplane
