In Baranovichi, eyewitnesses rescued three small children during an apartment fire
The incident occurred yesterday in a building on Valoshyna Street, reports the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

On the sixth floor of an 11-story residential building, a balcony caught fire. Three children were in the locked apartment: two six-year-olds and an eight-year-old. Their parents, along with another one-year-old child, had gone to the store.
Neighbors from the 8th floor heard the sound of a standalone fire alarm. Descending to the sixth floor, they heard children crying, but the entrance door was locked. No one opened the door when they knocked. The neighbors called the Ministry of Emergency Situations and began to break down the door themselves.
At this time, another man, noticing thick smoke from the balcony of the building opposite, immediately rushed to help. Another man, who was driving by in a car, did the same.
They simultaneously ascended to the sixth floor and, together with the neighbors, broke down the entrance door and entered the heavily smoke-filled apartment.
The eyewitnesses quickly found the three frightened children, carried them out into the fresh air, and handed them over to the ambulance crew.
Firefighters extinguished the fire. The rescued children were hospitalized.
