In Belarus, the rules for admission and enrollment in lyceums and universities for obtaining general secondary education are changing.

Adjustments to the resolution of the Ministry of Education dated August 17, 2022, have been published on the National Legal Internet Portal. The document provides for a change in the procedure for submitting applications for admission to these educational institutions, writes BelTA.
Applications for admission or enrollment in the 10th grades of lyceums and universities (for mastering the general secondary education program) must now be submitted to the lyceum's admissions committee from June 12 to June 15 of the admission year.
From July 10 to July 15, documents will need to be submitted for additional admission to the 10th grade. And from June 12 to August 17, it will be possible to try to enter the 11th grades of lyceums.
"The deadlines for enrolling applicants into the 10th grade have also been changed: the enrollment order is issued no later than July 7 of the admission (enrollment) year - for admission (enrollment) to the BSU Lyceum, and no later than July 10 - for other lyceums and universities," the press service of the Ministry of Education reported.
In addition, the updated rules now stipulate that schoolchildren who were not admitted to the BSU Lyceum can submit documents to other lyceums if the curricula coincide. This can be done from July 5 to July 8 of the admission year.
In educational institutions where the subject "History of Belarus in the context of world history" is studied at an advanced level, an entrance exam in the history of Belarus is being introduced.
The resolution comes into force on September 1.
