ICC Prosecutor who issued arrest warrant for Putin suspended from post
International Criminal Court Prosecutor Karim Khan, who issued an arrest warrant for Vladimir Putin, has been suspended from his post pending a final decision on a disciplinary case related to accusations of sexual harassment against him.

A corresponding statement was published on the court's website.
The decision takes effect immediately, and the disciplinary case has been referred to the Assembly of States Parties for consideration.
In November 2024, the Assembly of States Parties to the ICC initiated an investigation against Khan in a harassment case and recommended he transfer his powers.
Later, in May 2025, amid accusations of sexual harassment, Khan went on administrative leave.
