At a meeting with the government leadership on May 5, Alexander Lukashenka shared an idea of how to use reclaimed plots near Minsk, which currently belong to the Dzyarzhynski agro-combine.

According to Lukashenka, he liked this area, and therefore a large apple orchard should be planted there.
He also sees who can be entrusted with this project — the head of the "Spartan-agro" farm from near Maladzyechna, Ihar Abramchyk.
Lukashenka believes that the creation of a large orchard near the capital could fully supply Minsk with apples and reduce dependence on supplies from other regions and countries.
