The National Sanctuary in Budslau is forced to continue restoration without state funding, despite the fact that, at the initiative of the authorities, it was declared the "spiritual center" for Catholics of Belarus. On February 16, the parish issued an appeal stating that it "needs help," writes Katolik.life.

The Sanctuary published a letter from the parish priest, addressed to everyone who can make a donation. The letter states that after the Budslau church was recognized as a "spiritual center," an action plan for repair and restoration work was developed. Design work alone will cost over 1.4 million rubles, engineering — almost 190 thousand rubles, structural inspection — almost 72 thousand rubles. And another over 18 thousand rubles — for laser 3D scanning services.
In this regard, the parish asks for any sponsorship assistance. Thus, the total amount needed in the near future (only for preparatory work) is almost 1.7 million rubles, which exceeds the total amount of all donations collected so far after the fire in the church (1 million 446 thousand rubles).
Recently, information emerged about how the faithful are forced to pray in the Budslau church in the cold, and priests (including Bishop Aliaksandr Yasheuski) celebrate the Eucharist in gloves. New photographic evidence of this can be seen in the photos published by Viktar Viedzien on his page.
