84-year-old Man Went Into Forest Near Grodno And Has Been Missing For A Week
84-year-old Anatol Volkov went into the forest to pick mushrooms near the agricultural town of Parechcha in the Grodno district on June 22 and has not returned since. But three days ago, there was still contact with him.
Anatol Volkov's daughter, Victoria Fabisheuskaya, who currently lives in forced exile in Poland, wrote a desperate post on Facebook:
"Grodno, please help! My dad got lost in the forest. Volunteers willing to join the search are needed.
Dad has been in the forest for 7 days already. He last made contact on Friday night. He was doing well. He said he was doing exercises.
The search was suspended tonight. And there's a possibility it won't be continued. There aren't enough people.
I believe Dad is alive. He is strong and resilient, despite his age. If it weren't for the heat, I wouldn't doubt at all that everything would be fine.
If you want to help, please write to me. For now, there are no details about what and when. First, people need to be found.
