Customs officers stopped a bus returning from a shopping tour from Russia

Gomel customs officers stopped an attempt to illegally import goods from Russia. During a special event near the Belarusian-Russian border, they stopped a passenger bus returning from Moscow.

The bus contained consignments of foreign-made clothing and footwear. According to customs, documents on the payment of customs duties upon the import of goods into the territory of the EAEU were absent.

Administrative proceedings were initiated against all offenders under Art. 13.12 of the Code of Administrative Offenses - this article concerns the violation of the procedure for transportation, storage or sale of goods. It provides for a fine of up to 50% of the value of the subject of the offense.
