Academician, Doctor of Philosophical Sciences Yevgeny Babosov has died.
He was born on February 23, 1931, in Ryazan, and graduated from BSU in 1955. His career began with Komsomol and teaching work at BSU and the Medical Institute. Later, he taught philosophy there and then moved to work at the Academy of Sciences.
Babosov was the director of the Institute of Philosophy and Law of the Academy of Sciences of the BSSR from 1977 to 1989.
In 1990, he founded the Institute of Sociology of the Academy of Sciences and was its director until 1998, and then its honorary director.
Since 2003, he was the head of the Center for Sociology of Management, Law, and Politics at the Institute of Sociology of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. Since 2008, he was the head of the Department of Sociology of Politics and Information Technologies at the Institute of Sociology of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.
Yevgeny Babosov was one of the initiators of the creation of the Republican Party of Labor and Justice (1993), as well as the Socialist Party of Belarus (1994).
