Russians are buying more and more Belarusian refrigerators and stoves
Sales of Belarusian refrigerators and freezers in the Russian retail chain doubled over the quarter.
Russian retailer "M.Video" reported how much Belarusian products were purchased from them from September 2025 to September 2026.
The brands Gefest, Atlant, and Horizont were in greatest demand. Primarily refrigerators and freezers, and kitchen appliances were purchased.
In the second quarter, the volume of sales of Belarusian brands in Russian retail grew by 34.3% relative to the first quarter. Atlant increased its sales by 96.3%, Gefest — by 24.5%.
Sales of refrigerators and freezers from Belarusian manufacturers in the second quarter increased by 98.4% compared to the first quarter, and their share in total sales rose from 17.6% to 26%. Sales of large kitchen appliances grew by 25.6% during the specified period.
Overall, Belarusian brands accounted for 23.6% of gas stove sales among the considered sample in this retail chain, 9.4% of electric stove sales, 6.2% of mini-washing machine sales, and about 4% of freezer sales.
