The former Jesuit church in Babruysk is the oldest building in the city.

It has stood abandoned for many years. Unnoticed by everyone, the right sacristy of the church collapsed.

The church was built in the Baroque style in 1745–1747. Its project was designed by the Vilnius architect Tomasz Żebrowski. The temple has reached our time in a heavily rebuilt form. It is classified as a historical and cultural heritage site.

The church once had a library, a school, and a theater. During the Russian Empire, a fortress began to be built here, and the temple was turned into a weapons warehouse.

During Soviet times, the building housed a military prison (guardhouse). It was only closed in the early 2000s. After that, the church stood empty.

In 2011 and 2012, a fire broke out in the building, severely damaging the temple, after which it began to deteriorate more rapidly.
