Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, according to a source from AFP, has arrived in Azerbaijan for a visit, writes the BBC Russian Service. The visit has not yet been officially announced.

Since 2022, Azerbaijan has generally supported Ukraine with statements and humanitarian aid, especially during periods of tension in relations with Russia. However, the country maintains close ties with Moscow and serves as one of the routes through which Russia partially circumvents international sanctions.
Prior to this, on Friday, April 24, Zelensky visited Saudi Arabia, where he met with its de facto ruler — Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. According to the Ukrainian leader, the conversation was fruitful and covered security issues, including air defense capabilities, as well as cooperation in the energy and food sectors.
