The placement of future teachers has begun at the Maxim Tank Belarusian State Pedagogical University.
"We plan to send about 760 graduates to their first jobs, of which 50% will go to the capital, 40% to the Minsk region, and 10% to other regions of the country,"
— said BSPU Vice-Rector Alexander Frantskevich to the "Minsk-Novosti" agency.
For each student, there are two or three applications from employers. There are also highly demanded specialties. For example, there is high demand for physics and mathematics teachers, and primary and preschool education teachers.
Many graduates choose new schools and kindergartens.
Of the fourth-year students of the BSPU Institute of Inclusive Education (slightly more than 100 people), 80% will remain in Minsk.
"This year we are graduating in four specialties: "Oligophrenopedagogy," "Surdopedagogy," "Typhlopedagogy," and "Logopedics." The number of vacancies exceeds the number of graduates. The need in the capital is huge. We were only able to send targeted students to the regions," said Vera Khitruk, Director of the Institute.
