«The University continues its activity». EHU commented on being declared an 'extremist organization' by Belarusian authorities
The Supreme Court of Belarus recognized the European Humanities University as an "extremist organization". A brief comment on this matter appeared on the university's website.

«On April 14, 2026, the Supreme Court of the Republic of Belarus ruled to recognize the European Humanities University, registered in Lithuania, along with its structural subdivisions, as an extremist organization and to ban its activities, as well as the use of its symbols and attributes on the territory of Belarus.
EHU is an international academic community of students, faculty, and researchers, united by the values of open dialogue, knowledge, and freedom of speech.
The University continues its activity in accordance with these principles and remains a space for education and development,» — stated in the university's announcement.
