Chocolate will finally stop getting more expensive

According to data from the "Belgospishcheprom" concern, no price growth for chocolate and other confectionery products is expected in 2026, reported concern chairman Oleg Zhidkov at the international confectioners' forum in Minsk.

The main reason is the reduction in cocoa prices. While they reached their maximum in 2025, they have now significantly fallen. In the first quarter of 2026, raw materials are being purchased approximately 3-3.5 times cheaper than before.

This means that manufacturers do not need to raise prices to cover costs. Therefore, in the near future, chocolate will most likely be sold at approximately current prices without significant price increases.
