In Minsk, a court case was held against a 15-year-old college student. The boy was accused of knowingly false reports of danger.
The reason for such actions was a quarrel with acquaintances — the teenager tried to frame them. The details of the case were reported by "Minsk-Novosti".
It turned out that during a walk, the boy had an argument with a group of teenagers, held a grudge against them, and began to think about how to get revenge. For the next two days, he sent electronic messages from his phone stating that explosives had been planted in a Minsk school and gymnasium. However, he signed them with their names.
However, the real perpetrator was quickly identified, and a criminal case was initiated against him. The teenager fully admitted his guilt and repented.
— The accused is a first-year student at one of the capital's colleges, has not previously been brought to criminal or administrative responsibility, and is characterized as satisfactory. His parents compensated the expenses for involving police officers and the Investigative Committee for travel and investigative actions related to the false reports of impending explosions, — commented Valentina Khatskevich, senior assistant prosecutor of the Leninsky district.
— The court found him guilty of committing crimes under Part 1 and Part 2 of Art. 340 of the Criminal Code ("Knowingly false report of danger"), and assigned a final sentence of one year of restriction of liberty without being sent to an open-type institution.
Also, the accused's mobile phone was confiscated to the state.
