Around Putin's residence, another 16 air defense towers have been installed — in total there are already more than 50
At the Valdai residence, besides Putin, Alina Kabaeva, who is called the mother of his two sons, spends a lot of time.

Within a radius of 50 kilometers from Putin's residence in Valdai, another ring of air defense towers has been built. It passes through his "reserve airfield" in Khatilovo and a secret biolaboratory on Lisiy Island.
The towers were installed south of the residence, as found out by "Radio Svoboda" and an OSINT analyst who writes on social network X under the nickname @jembobineuse. "Pantsir" or "Tor" anti-aircraft missile systems will likely be placed on them.
One of the towers of this "outer ring" was built back in March 2026, on the territory of the Khatilovo military airbase, which Putin regularly uses and from where the Valdai residence can be reached by train along a specially constructed railway branch line for this purpose.
Several more air defense positions of this ring were built on the shore of the Vyshny Volochyok reservoir, in the middle of which, on Lisiy Island, Russian military personnel built a new laboratory complex, presumably associated with the Russian biological weapons program.

At the Valdai residence, besides Putin, Alina Kabaeva, who is called the mother of his two sons, spends a lot of time.
In total, there are now more than 50 air defense positions around Valdai — only half as many as were built after the start of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine in Moscow and the Moscow region, with their population of more than 20 million people. In Valdai and the Valdai district, as well as within a 50-kilometer radius, fewer than 100,000 people reside.
