The U.S. President considers the resumption of bombings likely after the November congressional elections.

Donald Trump rejected Iran's proposal to open the Strait of Hormuz and cease hostilities in the region for seven days. The Wall Street Journal reported this, citing unnamed American officials.
According to the newspaper, Trump expressed doubts in private conversations with staff that Iran would fulfill his demands and stated that he considers the resumption of bombings likely after the November congressional elections.
Shortly before the WSJ publication, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Aragchi announced that Tehran had presented a peace plan to the U.S., which includes a seven-day countdown to the opening of the Strait of Hormuz and the suspension of hostilities in the region.
