The country operates a large system for accepting harvest from the population: almost 800 collection and procurement points where people can hand in strawberries, potatoes, berries, and mushrooms. Additionally, seasonal points are being opened — six more this year, to cope with the "hot" period.
The main focus now is strawberries. The largest volumes come from Luninets and Stolin districts, where there are traditionally many berry farms. Procurement of blueberries and cranberries is also underway, and among vegetables, young potatoes.
The volumes are quite significant: 345 contracts have been concluded for almost 5 thousand tons of produce, and cooperation has been established with approximately 150 farms for farmers.
- Prices this season are as follows (depend on quality and region):
- strawberries: approximately 3—5.5 rubles per kilogram (last year it was up to 8 rubles);
- young potatoes: about 1.1—2.25 rubles;
- blueberries and cranberries: prices are still being formed and may change during the season.
In addition to berries and vegetables, wild produce — mushrooms and forest berries — are also procured. Last year, for example, about 30 tons of mushrooms and a total of about 500 tons of wild produce were procured.
