Lukashenka: Who will be president in Ukraine, the Ukrainian people will decide. This is not Trump's issue
“No need to dictate.”

Alexander Lukashenka commented on Donald Trump's statement about the need to replace Volodymyr Zelenskyy, writes BelTA.
Lukashenka was asked whether it is possible to achieve peace in Ukraine with the current president of the country in the context of recent statements by Donald Trump.
“Do you want to get an answer from me as a politician or essentially? If essentially — this is my credo — this is not Trump's issue,” he said.
“Who will be president in Ukraine, the Ukrainian people will decide,” Alexander Lukashenka emphasized.
He noted that Volodymyr Zelenskyy once promised to serve only one term as head of state.
“Promises must be kept,” Lukashenka noted. “One must go to elections. In this, Trump is right: he promised — promises must be kept. But there’s no need to dictate. Trump should not dictate how Ukraine should act.”
He also stressed that an end to the conflict is necessary and both Ukraine and Russia are interested in this, as the war leads to negative consequences for both countries.
“And this peace will come. If not this year, then next year. I am absolutely convinced of this,” Alexander Lukashenka stated.
