Some residents are not happy with this prospect — they bought housing for a considerable amount of money, as the district was presented as elite, and now they are concerned that kindergartens and schools will be overcrowded and the construction will affect the green zone.
Viktoria Kirichenko, a journalist for the state agency «Minsk-Novosti», expressed outrage at the residents' behavior.
«The problem of dormitory construction is merely a problem of the Lebyadziny elite's shaken ego, who should come down from the heavens to earth and look at the situation through the eyes of a human,» she commented in the video.
Propagandist Ryhor Azaronak also joined in. However, without properly understanding the situation, he initially confused Lebyadziny with Novaya Baravaya.
