Swedish Prime Minister also doesn't understand why Stubb and Støre called Putin
Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson, following his Danish counterpart Mette Frederiksen, expressed doubts that the phone conversation between Finnish President Alexander Stubb and Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre with Russian President Vladimir Putin brings peace closer in Ukraine.

"If negotiations lead to peace, that's good. However, from my experience, the results of previous discussions — for example, involving Germany and France — have been very modest. And when you look at what Russia is doing on the ground every day, I see nothing to suggest that it seeks peace. They seek the suppression [of Ukraine]," SVT quotes the Swedish Prime Minister as saying.
Today, the President of Finland and the Prime Minister of Norway, on their own initiative, held a phone conversation with the head of the Kremlin, Vladimir Putin. According to Stubb, the conversation was "open and businesslike."
After that, Stubb and Støre had a "fruitful phone conversation" with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
