Anticyclone Gerhard is approaching Belarus, bringing predominantly dry weather. At the same time, in late October and the first days of November, the average air temperature will be significantly higher than the climatic norm. This was reported by Belgidromet.

In early October, the average daily temperature in Belarus exceeded the norm by 1-8 °C, and in recent days the difference narrowed to 1-3 °C due to the decrease in daylight hours.
The last weekend and the beginning of the week were accompanied by rains, but with the arrival of the anticyclone, the amount of precipitation will decrease. Light to moderate rains are possible only in isolated areas.
Due to humid air and weak atmospheric circulation, fogs will form in places at night and in the morning. Meteorologists urge drivers to be especially careful, take into account reduced visibility, maintain distance, and adhere to speed limits.
At night, the air temperature throughout the week will range from +1 to +9 °C, and with clearings, it may drop to −1 °C. During the day, it is expected to be from +5 to +14 °C.
On Tuesday, October 27, rains will still fall in the central regions at night, with fog possible in places. Temperatures will be from +3 to +9 °C, and in the west of the country — from −1 to +2 °C. During the day, the air will warm up to +8…+14 °C.
On Wednesday, short-term precipitation is possible only during the day in isolated areas of the southeast. At night it will be from 0 to +7 °C, during the day — from +7 to +13 °C.
On Thursday and Friday, October 29 and 30, short-term rains are also possible in some regions of the country. Fog is expected in places at night and in the morning. Night temperatures will be from +1 to +7 °C, daytime — from +7 to +13 °C.
Short-term local rains are not excluded this upcoming weekend either. On the night of October 31, temperatures will range from 0 to +7 °C, and during the day — from +6 to +12 °C.
On the first day of November, especially at night and in the morning, light fog and black ice are possible in places. Night temperatures will be from −1 to +4 °C, in some areas — up to +6 °C. During the day, it is expected to be from +5 to +11 °C.
In early November, from the 2nd to the 9th, the influence of the high-pressure area will begin to weaken. Accordingly, the deviation of temperature from the climatic norm will also decrease. According to calculations by the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF), the average temperature during this period will still be 0.5-1.5 °C higher than the norm.
A sharp cooling and Arctic air intrusions are not yet forecast. The amount of precipitation is expected to be close to normal values for November. Atmospheric fronts will occasionally pass through Belarus, which may bring short-term rains, but prolonged and heavy precipitation is not expected.
