On July 30, Belarusian Foreign Minister Maxim Ryzhenkov met with Italy's Chargé d'affaires ad interim to Belarus, Tommaso Pietro Marchegiani. The meeting took place on the occasion of the conclusion of his diplomatic mission in the country.
During the conversation, the parties discussed the current state of Belarusian-Italian relations and their possible prospects. They also exchanged views on the situation in the region and other topical issues on the international agenda.
Maxim Ryzhenkov thanked the Italian diplomat for his work in Belarus and participation in the implementation of various projects, including those of a humanitarian nature.
The Minister also stated that Minsk expects a more active stance from European states, particularly Italy, on issues of interaction with Belarus.
