The Prime Minister of Armenia stated that he would not participate in the festive events on May 9 in Moscow.

"During my visit to Moscow on April 1, I informed the President of Russia that, since the election campaign is starting in Armenia, I would not be able to take part in the May 9 events," Pashinyan said at a briefing for journalists following a government meeting on Thursday.
Earlier at the government meeting, Pashinyan stated that he would go on vacation to participate in the election campaign.
The next parliamentary elections in Armenia are scheduled for June 7.
