Fires have started again in the Ukrainian part of the Chernobyl exclusion zone, wind blows north
In the afternoon of May 16, several new fire sources appeared south of the evacuated city of Pripyat, the "Flagstock" publication noted .

The wind carries the smoke in a northerly direction. Belarusian Brahin and Rechytsa districts are particularly affected, and residents of neighboring Loew and Khoiniki districts are also under threat.
In this regard, residents of the mentioned districts are not recommended to be outdoors if there are signs of smoke — haze or the smell of burning.
