Belarusian football coach Shpilevsky fired in Russia — earned $850k a year, but the team is at the bottom

He couldn't be fired sooner because paying the penalty would have been too expensive.

Aleksey Shpilevsky

Aleksey Shpilevsky has been dismissed from his post as head coach of the "Pari NN" club from Nizhny Novgorod, Russia.

The dismissal was reported by insider Ivan Karpov.

At the club, Shpilevsky received 60 thousand euros per month. The Belarusian's direct salary was 57,800 euros, but he was also paid an additional 2,200 euros for apartment rent.

The results for the 37-year-old Belarusian were dismal, with defeat after defeat, but firing him was also expensive. The contract stipulated that if the coach was dismissed before the New Year due to current results, he would have to be paid 800 thousand euros in compensation. If after the New Year — approximately 240 thousand euros.

After a home defeat to Spartak (1:2) with 3 rounds remaining, the "Pari NN" team is in 15th place with 22 points and risks relegation from the Russian Premier League.

Aleksey Shpilevsky took charge of "Pari NN" in June 2025, after another Belarusian coach, Viktor Goncharenko, was dismissed from there. Before this, Shpilevsky led the Cypriot club "Aris" from Limassol for three years, achieving considerable success. Under his leadership, "Aris" became champion of Cyprus for the first time in history in 2023, and then qualified for the group stage of the Europa League. In the same year, 2023, Shpilevsky was recognized as the best coach of the Cypriot championship.

Подшакалил у москалей. Вот только нафига себе резюме было портить. Гончаренко тоже пропал как тренер. Нужно было в Европу после БАТЭ ехать,но в итоге карьеру на бабло поменял.
