AFU General Staff announced an attack and fire at the strategically important Yaroslavl oil refinery
Regional authorities report an «repelled attack».

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that drones attacked an oil refinery in Yaroslavl on Sunday night. According to the Ukrainian side's statement, a fire broke out at the facility as a result of the strike.
Ukraine's command emphasizes that this oil refinery is a strategic object, processing about 15 million tons of oil annually.
Mikhail Evraev, Governor of the Yaroslavl region, confirmed the fact of a massive attack, but stated that it was repelled by air defense and electronic warfare forces while still approaching the city. According to the head of the region, there were no casualties. Evraev did not clarify whether any damage was recorded on the territory of the plant itself.
The Yaroslavl Oil Refinery («Slavneft-YANOS») is one of the largest in Russia and critically important for supplying fuel to the central regions of the country. This is not the first attempt by the AFU to attack the facility, which is located 700 km from Ukraine.
