Moldova is considering the possibility of completely stopping the export of goods to Belarus and Russia. This was stated by the country's Minister of Agriculture, Eugeniu Osmachescu, writes "Komsomolskaya Pravda in Moldova".

According to the Moldovan minister, Moldova should abandon exports to these two markets. At the same time, the minister emphasized that this is his personal position, while the authorities generally understand that an immediate ban could harm Moldovan producers.
Osmachescu noted that Moldova has exporters working with the Belarusian and Russian markets, and the Belarusian direction is more significant for them. Therefore, before a possible ban is introduced, in his opinion, it is necessary to develop a support program for such companies and help them reorient to the European Union market.
The minister also stated that such a step would allow Moldova to demonstrate its commitment to international sanctions against Belarus and Russia.
According to information from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus, the main goods that Moldova currently exports to Belarus are wine and strong alcoholic beverages, fruits and vegetables, medicines, packaging, as well as some instruments and devices.
In January 2026, Moldova began the process of withdrawing from the CIS. It is expected to be completed approximately in spring 2027. At the same time, the country applied for membership in the European Union.
